The grand vin, wholly Tempranillo from three old Laguardia vineyards, fermented in large open-top vats, and aged in French oak barriques for 16 months. There is a real drive here, a lovely dark perfume and lots of crushed, crisp dark fruits all with super focus and purity. The palate shows the oak with a creamy, spicy theme, a chalky mineral framework provides lift and structure, as more creamy blue/black fruits push on through a smooth, long finish. Plush, nicely balanced and full of potential. 3-9 years.
